My first speach contained a lot of hand gestures and enthusiasm, possibly because I had a powerpoint to look off of and the topic was less serious than my persuasive speech. My voice was very quiet and I did not project well. I looked around the room rarely, and mainly focused on the left side of the room since I was looking at the powerpoint towards that side. All the excersizes Mr.Lunn had us do in class drastically helped with projecting my voice, not using fillers, and looking around the room.
My second speech seemed to be worse. My topic was very serious and I wasn't able to have much enthusiasm talking about death. I didn't use very many hand gestures, but I made a point to create an introduction and conclusion. I cited my sources in my speech, and used a lot of real life examples to support my information and further my explaination. My persuasive speech was better in the sense that I included more information and it was more professional. All together, my persuasive speech fit the requirements for a speech much better than my informative speech.

Step by step speech
I feel like my step by step speech was a little jumbled but overall I felt calm and confident. I'm happy with how the speech turned out, and I feel like I was in full control the entire time. Picking hypnosis as a topic was difficult for me because I have never known how to do it so I had to take a lot of time to actually learn. Getting in front of the class and speaking about something I just learned about took courage and I'm proud.

Informative Speech Review
My informative speech was not as good as it should have been. I did not include a good hook and I did not sum up my speech at the end. This time I improved on seeming more excited about my topic and much more calm about being in front of everyone. I did a good job at looking through my audience and making eye contact with different people. I played with the notecard in my hand too much and touched my face too much also. I seemed to keep all my information in order which was an improvement also.

Brown Bag Speech Review
I feel i could have done a much better job during my speech if I had been calmer. I became nervous and it was apparent on my face. If I had loosened up a little my speech would have been more interesting for everyone and I would have enjoyed it more. Also I forgot a few pieces of information that wasn't necessarily vital to my assignment but I still had wanted to mention. One thing I did well is I didn't fill silent gaps with "Um" and I didn't fidget too much. In conclusion I'd like to work on having more confidence during public speaking and using my nerves for a good use.

Humor
Exaggeration
This picture is an example of an exaggeration because the person has not actually waited an entire year, she is just impatient with waiting.
Wit
A gushy reporter told Phil Mickelson, “You are spectacular, your name is synonymous with the game of golf. You really know your way around the course. What’s your secret?”
Oxymoron
"The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity." -- Douglas Horton
This quote is an oxymoron because it is complex to create simple art, this is contradictory because most would assume simple art is simple to create.
Sarcasm

In this sound clip, Comic Book Guy uses sarcasm by offering Bart $59, of course he doesn't actually want Bart to take his money and Comic Book Guy gives up his attempt when Bart doesn't understand.

Wit
Mickelson replied, “The holes are numbered.”
This joke is an example of wit, because witty humor is sophisticated and can sometimes come off as rude. People with a quick mind can pick up on opportunities to make a witty remark.
